At the centre of my teaching approach is the use of research-informed practices and lessons carefully tailored to each developmental stage. I help students build strong musical foundations while supporting their musical critical thinking and creativity through a holistic approach to learning.
My studio is based in the Royal Docks (E16) and welcomes both families and adult learners. It is easily accessible from Royal Wharf, Canary Wharf, Canning Town, Silvertown, and Straford, offering a creative and professional space for piano students across Newham.

Piano lessons for children

Piano lessons for children are carefully designed to suit their stage of development. The lessons support the growth of strong musical foundations and help your child develop as a well-rounded young pianist. They will not only learn to read music but will also develop their technique, aural and creative skills. All of these elements are crucial to nurture their musical critical thinking, helping them play with confidence and a deep understanding of the music.
For very young beginners (ages 4–6), lessons are story-based and game-based. Students use My First Piano Book, which I specifically designed to make their first contact with the piano a playful, positive, creative, and musically rich experience that encourages progress and long-term motivation.
For parents seeking a more formal path, I offer full support and guidance for students preparing for exams (ABRSM, Trinity, Trinity Pop and Rock) from Grade 1 to Grade 8. However, exam entry is only considered once a child has developed the necessary musical foundations and is consistently meeting the required practice expectations.
Piano lessons for adults

Lessons for adult students are fully personalised to ensure they remain relevant to your specific goals. While we build strong musical foundations, including reading, technique, and aural skills, the weight we give to each area is carefully calibrated based on your interests.
If you are focused on a particular genre, such as classical, film, or pop music, I shift the emphasis of our lessons to provide the exact tools you need for that path. My aim is to help you perform the music you love with confidence and a deep understanding of how it works.
